Inboard Motor Trend
The highly efficient air-cooled engine is characterised by a superior power delivery curve. In addition, the drive features a generously dimensioned thrust bearing that can easily absorb the thrust generated by the propeller. The coupling is the central link in the power transmission from the engine to the propeller shaft. The system can be easily adapted to many different shaft types – both metric and imperial dimensions. To ensure optimum alignment between the engine and propeller shafts, a special 3-dimensionally adjustable suspension system has been developed, which also provides the necessary stability to absorb the thrust of the propeller shaft. Optimised mounting feet are supplied as vibration dampers. To transmit the maximum torque to the propeller whilst simultaneously withstanding the high thrust of the propeller shaft, the shaft must also be strong enough. The large-diameter stainless steel shaft meets our quality standards exactly.

Frequently Asked Questions
What power is required?
The Trend 16.0MA is suitable for both small dinghies and larger boats up to approx. 45 feet. As a rule of thumb, depending on hull shape and area (reserves against wind and waves), approx. 1-2 kW per ton of cruising weight can be assumed. For a precise design, please contact a specialist retailer or Aquamot.
How long can you drive with the Trend 16.0MA?
The driving time naturally depends on the capacity and quality of the batteries.

Can the battery bank be increased or decreased with the Inboard Motor Trend 16.0?
Of course, there are many ways to increase or decrease the range. In principle, however, only traction batteries should be used, which have also been designed for higher currents over a longer period (ATTENTION: no starter batteries or semi-traction batteries). In addition, a minimum capacity of at least 110Ah is recommended. All batteries should have the same capacity in order to achieve the highest possible service life. Always ask your Aquamot dealer or Aquamot about the capacity design beforehand.
What is included?
In general, the drive package includes everything (including the suspension and mounting feet, but excluding the coupling) except the batteries and the charger. This also means that the throttle/shift lever and onboard computer are included. Regarding the shaft coupling, there are two different options that can be purchased separately. The cable lengths are standardized (3 m main cables, 30 cm battery bracket leads, and 6 m to the display and throttle/shift lever). A cable extension can, of course, be supplied at an additional cost.
How long is the warranty period?
The warranty period is 2 years.
