Right designing of the capacity
To choose the right capacity for your battery bank, you should consider the following steps:
- Consider the nominal voltage! When you use 12V batteries you have to divide the total voltage through 12. Then you will receive the number of needed batteries.
- Determine the max. current of the load or loads
- Define how long you would like to use the electrical system without recharging.
- Now you can calculate the min. capacity! Multiply: CURRENT X HOURS X SAFETY FACTOR = MIN. TOTAL CAPACITY in AH (Safety factor for customary batteries is roughly 1.65 to 2.4; Aquamot ALS batteries has 1.35)
TIP:
The battery capacity the battery bank can be raised through parallel connecting.
